Overview
In addition to our regular school year, each summer we welcome young learners aged 5 to 16 years from more than 30 countries. They enjoy our renowned authentic Swiss Style Summer Camp, with French or English language courses each morning followed by fun cultural and themed activities – all in a warm, reassuring family ambience.
Pleasure, fun, relaxation, friendships and personal achievements are the key ingredients of a stay at La Garenne. Our extensive programme of activities is designed to challenge and excite our campers. The activities shown below are an indication of what campers could experience. They are subject to availability, the weather and the students' ages, and not all experiences will be offered during each camp.
La Garenne enjoys an exceptional location on a sunny plateau at an altitude of 1300 metres above sea level (4250 ft). Stunning Alpine peaks including Mont Blanc and the iconic Dents du Midi mountain range feel within touching distance. Our Summer Camp offers easy access both to alpine meadows and the Swiss Riviera along Lake Geneva. The experience is - quite literally - a breath of fresh air.

Our academic programme is designed for children aged from 5 to 16 years, who wish to learn French or English intensively. In a short time, children at all levels from Beginners to Advanced will develop their grammar and vocabulary, whilst practising reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Lessons take place between 9.15 a.m. and 12:00 from Monday to Friday, led by our dynamic and experienced teaching team – many of whom are employed by La Garenne all year round.
The range of activities is of great importance and occupy most of the afternoons and early evenings.
La Garenne enjoys an exceptional location. Perched at an altitude of 1’300m, Villars-sur-Ollon faces the sun whilst being refreshed by pure alpine air. Surrounded by majestic mountain peaks which include Mont Blanc, we overlook the Rhone Valley and the famous Swiss Riviera.
Daily afternoon activities are determined by the weather forecast and children are grouped by age.
