Nestled in the heart of Switzerland’s breath-taking Alps, Préfleuri is located in a traditional Swiss chalet surrounded by 2 acres of natural playground. Our school is discretely set only 2km away from the traditional ski resort of Villars-sur-Ollon, at an altitude of 1,300m.

We have welcomed and educated children of all nationalities, from ages 3 to 13, for the last 70 years. Our passion is for an inclusive, creative and inspired education that develops curiosity, holistic values and environmental awareness. Prefleuri's mission is to enable young people to become confident, capable, resourceful, independent and responsible adults.

Over the past 25 years, Préfleuri has been led by Sylvie Ducas Launay, a former pupil, later a facilitator and a teacher at Préfleuri and now as its owner-director. Sylvie’s passion for education has led the school program to fully develop into an internationally renowned institute as well as becoming a fully bilingual school. Préfleuri welcomes children in day school or boarding, from bilingual nursery, 3yrs, to the end of the primary classes, taught in either English or French, closely following the National Curricula of the countries.

We offer schooling up to 6th grade in the French section and up to year 7 in the British section.

In addition, outside the regular school programs, we offer language private languages courses, Chinese, Japanese and Russian

Sport and outdoor activities are already an integral part of our programmes, skiing is particularly in the spotlight during the winter term, each class is skiing 2 half days a week during the all Winter term.

To do this, Préfleuri is a loving and safe second family where our caring team open heartedly adapts to each child so they can acquire the fundamental rules of life to develop a valid sense of self-worth. The whole team will use important occasions, such as daily meals together to instill the merits of a balanced diet, good table manners and a genuine passport to social and professional integration. All activities, whether academic, cultural or sports, are programmed in close collaboration with parents. A thorough knowledge of French and English is developed through a daily program of immersion in each language. To assist these ambitious educational goals, we ensure a high ratio of adults to children and an allocation of exceptional resources.
