Overview
Since 1949, LAS Summer in Switzerland has offered an incredible residential summer experience at our beautiful campus in the Swiss Alps. Our program combines all the elements of an incredible summer camp, and students from all over the world connect in a safe and supportive alpine community as they enjoy classes, clubs, and exceptional summer activities.
Whether you enjoy hiking and biking or reading and making music, LAS Summer in Switzerland has something for you! Our alpine campus, fantastic facilities, and flexible program give students the opportunity to choose their own summer adventure. Our experienced counselors and instructors ensure that every student feels like they belong. Students are grouped by age (9-12 and 13-16) to guarantee that activities are age appropriate, and minimal cell phone use means that our students spend less time online and more time enjoying face-to-face fun!

The Language Track is an intensive course that immerses students in their chosen language (English or French). Students are divided by age and ability (elementary, intermediate, or advanced) within each group. This program will also require students to do an afternoon club focusing on building their language skills.
The Academic Track is made up of three programs: the Makerspace Program, the Nature of Math Program, and the Unsolved Mysteries Program. Students can’t go wrong with their choice—each program offers the opportunity to problem solve, collaborate, and build new skills.
The Sports Track consists of two programs: Tennis and Mountain Leadership Development. Students in the Tennis program will engage in challenging and fun training on the court. Students in the LAS Mountain Leadership Development Program will learn about environmental sustainability and responsibility while developing leadership and communication skills through a variety of vigorous outdoor activities.

LAS Summer clubs are a great way for students to expand their interests and meet new people from outside their morning programs. Past club options have included Cooking and Baking, Sports, Art, Music Creation, Health and Fitness, Dance, Martial Arts, and Robotics and Coding.
Afternoon activities add extra variety to students’ daily schedules. Options may include arts and crafts, biking, hiking and climbing, dance, team sports, horseback riding, games, music, and more!
Following a busy morning and afternoon of programs and activities, all students participate in our evening socials. These campus-wide events have included activities like glow-in-the-dark dodgeball, dances, banquets. All students also have the opportunity to participate in excursions throughout the summer! Some of the past exciting trips we have offered include Zermatt, Bern, Interlaken, Zurich!
